‘The Third Man’, directed by Trevor Nunn, reveals initial cast

Simon Bailey and Jonathan Andrew Hume will star in the London premiere. The Third Man musical is based on Graham Greene’s novel of the same name.

Ahead of The Third Man’s UK premiere at the Menier Chocolate Factory, find out the initial cast of the show. The Third Man begins previews on 10 June, with an opening night on 19 June, and performances to 9 September.

The Third Man musical is based on Graham Greene’s 1950 novel of the same name. Set in post-war Vienna, Holly Martins finds themselves in a world of bureaucracy and black markets to discover who killed Harry Limes.

Trevor Nunn directs Sam Underwood as Holly Martins, alongside Edward Baker-Duly as Calloway, Simon Bailey as Crabbit, Natalie Dunne as Anna, Derek Griffiths as The Porter, Jonathan Andrew Hume as Paine, Rachel Izen as the Porter’s Wife, Gary Milner as Kurtz, Harry Morrison as Popescu, and Alan Vicary as Dr. Winkel.

Chanice Alexander-Burnett, Craig Bartley, Cassiopeia Berkeley-Agyepong, Leah Harris, Aly Merali, Tom Sterling, Samantha Thomas, and Tim Walton complete the cast.

Nunn previously directed Fiddler on the Roof, Love in Idleness, and A Little Night Music at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

The Third Man creative team includes Paul Farnsworth (set and costume design), Emma Chapman (lighting design,) Gregory Clarke (sound design), and Rebecca Howell (movement and choreography).

The Third Man will be at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
