Tickets for the Jamie Lloyd Company production of Cyrano de Bergerac starring James McAvoy at the Playhouse Theatre are now on sale.

Originally written by Edmond Rostand and adapted by Martin Crimp for the production, Cyrano de Bergerac follows the life of the titular character, a 17th century playwright who seems to have it all - apart from his true love named Roxane. In a society plagued by narcissism, he uses language in order to attract Roxane.

Following previous announcements, James McAvoy will play the titular role in the production, previously working with Jamie Lloyd in Macbeth at Trafalgar Studios. He has also starred in Three Days of Rain and The Ruling Class. Further casting is to be announced.

Cyrano de Bergerac will begin previews at the Playhouse Theatre on 27th November, and receive an official opening night on 6th December, with a limited engagement to 29th February 2020.

Cyrano de Bergerac will mark the first production as part of a season of work directed by Jamie Lloyd at the Playhouse Theatre, which will run from November 2019 to August 2020, with future shows as part of the season to be announced.

Cyrano de Bergerac will run at the Playhouse Theatre from 27th November 2019 to 29th February 2020.
