Meet the real-life characters and Gander heroes from Come From Away
Come From Away weaves real-life stories of some of the 7,000 passengers that were stranded in Gander on 9/11 after planes were diverted away from American air space.
Characters in the show are directly inspired from the people that Irene Sankoff and David Hein interviewed on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 including Janice Mosher, a local journalist whose character is brought to life from two journalists who covered the events in 2001.
Cast members and the individuals who inspired the characters met in London to discuss the musical and the importance of spreading this story far and wide.
In a review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, Mark Shenton gave the show five stars, praising the musical's 'heart, truth and genuine emotion'.
