Henry's six wives take to the mic to reclaim their stories

SIX Information

The West End phenomenon Six the Musical continues to take London by storm. Six the Musical tickets are available on London Theatre now.

The Six musical tells the story of the six wives of Henry VIII like you've never heard before. This Six musical spectacular brings the wives - Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard and Catherine Parr - right into the 21st century with a score that includes power ballads, techno beats and absolute anthems for an unforgettable lesson in history and girl power.

There’s plenty of incredibly catchy songs by writing team Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss including “Get Down,” “All You Wanna Do,” and “Haus of Holbein” — a techno-infused song based on the German painter.

Following success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2018, the Six musical went from strength to strength with a transfer to London's West End, a UK tour and five Olivier award nominations in 2019 including Best New Musical and Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical (for the complete cast of Aimie Atkinson, Alexia McIntosh, Millie O'Connell, Natalie Paris, Maiya Quansah-Breed and Jarneia Richard-Noel.)

Six began London performances at the Arts Theatre in 2019. Since then, Six London shows have taken place at three West End venues: the Arts, the Lyric Theatre and now the Vaudeville Theatre. The Vaudeville Theatre is deemed the show’s “forever home.”

The Six cast features an all-female company who play all six wives. The show is highly praised for celebrating its alternate cast; members of the company who play all the wives at a moment’s notice. Six also hosts singalong performances. Find out more about Six singalong performances on our show page.

The Six London score is revered for each Queen's inspiration from modern pop superstars, such as Adele, Ariana Grande, Avril Lavigne, Jessie J and more. The musical includes an all-female band performing onstage.

But you don't have to be a lifelong member of the Queendom to lose your heart (or head) to Six.Four years on from its Edinburgh Fringe debut, the show still feels like a breath of fresh air. If...
