Inter Alia, a brand new play from the team behind Prima Facie, comes to the National Theatre starring Oscar and BAFTA award nominee Rosamund Pike (Saltburn). Book Inter Alia tickets on London Theatre.
Inter Alia is a play that tells the story of Jessica Parks (Rosamund Pike), a woman at the top of her career as a London Crown Court Judge. She precariously balances her demanding professional life with her personal life as a mother and wife. However, when an event threatens to throw it all off balance, how can she move forward?
Pike said, “My character has sons, and she’s a criminal judge – many defendants are young men. So it’s a story about navigating the raising of boys and whether we are letting them down. That’s a big debate right now.”
Starring alongside Pike is Jamie Glover (Waterloo Road) and Jasper Talbot (Redlands).
Inter Alia in London has an excellent creative team reuniting writer Suzie Miller and director Justin Martin following the success of Prima Facie. The creative team includes set and costume designer Miriam Buether, lighting designer Natasha Chivers, movement and intimacy director Lucy Hind, sound designers Ben and Max Ringham, video designer Willie Williams for Treatment Studio, and voice coach William Conacher.
Inter Alia will also be recorded and broadcast to cinemas around the U.K. on 4 September and then to global cinemas starting 25 September.
In a statement, Miller explained, “Following the success of the National Theatre Live release of Prima Facie which has now been seen on the big screen by 1.4 million people—I’m thrilled to have Inter Alia broadcast to cinemas…I’ve witnessed firsthand how NTLive can not only reach but deeply connect with and impact audiences across the world, and I hope this play will do the same.”
