After an almost six-year reign at the Lena Horne Theatre, Six will play its final Broadway performance on 3 January. But it'll always be one of a kind, no category. The pop musical about the wives of Henry VIII will still rule the world through the ongoing West End production, various tours, the proshot, and of course, the global "Queendom" of loyal subjects who turned this small fringe show into a megahit.

Extendo patronum! Harry Potter fans have more time to see original film star Tom Felton reprise his role as Draco Malfoy. Previously set to depart Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway in November, Felton will now perform through 3 January.

And that's not all — after Felton departs, Rupert Grint will reprise his own film role of Ron Weasley from 2 February to 30 May. It's too bad they won't perform at the same time, but superfans will surely return to Hogwarts themselves to see both stars.

Fans have long called Bowen Yang's casting in the title role of Oh, Mary! "inevitable," and they were right. The Saturday Night Live Emmy nominee, Las Culturistas podcast co-host and Wicked film star is donning Mary Todd Lincoln's bratty curls on Broadway from 15 September to 6 December!

Yang became a Tony Award nominee earlier this year as a producer of the musical Titanique, but Oh, Mary! marks his Broadway acting debut.

After 20 years away from the NYC stage, Julianne Moore is back. Granted, she's been busy winning an Oscar (for Still Alice) and an Emmy (for Game Change) and starring in blockbuster film series like The Hunger Games. In February 2027, she's coming off Broadway in Sarah Ruhl's Greek mythology-inspired Faydra, about a woman obsessed with her stepson.

Earlier this year, Moore, Ruhl, and Faydra director Les Waters were photographed in a rehearsal room with Heated Rivalry's Hudson Williams and Off-Broadway mainstay April Matthis. Will either of them join Moore in the cast? We'll have to wait and see.

There's nothing to hate about this news: The beloved 1999 teen romcom 10 Things I Hate About You is getting the musical treatment, with a script co-authored by Girls creator Lena Dunham and a score co-authored by Grammy-nominated pop star Carly Rae Jepsen. We wonder if the movie's iconic cover of "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" will make it into the stage show, which starts Broadway performances in August 2027.

Legendary singer Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80, and she'll not only be missed by country music fans, but the theatre community. Parton earned a Tony Award nomination for scoring the 9 to 5 Broadway musical, brought her festive Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol to London, and is the subject of Dolly: A True Original Musical on Broadway, set to open on what would have been her 81st birthday on 19 January.

A day after Parton's passing, Rocky Horror and Clue star Tim Curry also died at age 80, and he'll be equally missed by theatre fans — especially at Broadway's Studio 54, where The Rocky Horror Show currently plays. Whether at Dolly or Rocky, there's sure to be plenty of bittersweet reminiscing, but plenty of joyful celebration of these influential icons, too.
