Be More Chill extends at The Other Palace to June 2020

Having opened at The Other Palace last week, Be More Chill will now play an extended booking period at the London venue. Be More Chill will now run at The Other Palace to June 2020, making it the longest-running musical in the theatre's history.

The Other Palace stays chill

The London transfer of Be More Chill began performances at The Other Palace on 12th February, with an official opening night on 25th February.

With an initial booking period to 3rd May 2020, Be More Chill will now run at The Other Palace for an additional six weeks, with performances to 14th June 2020. 

Speaking about the musical's extension, the show's composer and lyricist Joe Iconis said: "Making my London debut as a musical theatre writer has long been a dream of mine and my experience with Be More Chill at The Other Palace has exceeded all expectations. I have been blown away by the response of audiences and the theatre community here in the UK and am ecstatic that we will be extending our run."

The Be More Chill cast

The cast of Be More Chill currently stars Scott Folan as Jeremy Heere, with Blake Patrick Anderson as Michael Mell, Stewart Clarke as The Squip and Miracle Chance as Christine Canigula. 

Previously starring in Six at the Arts Theatre, Renee Lamb plays Jenna Rolan, with Millie O'Connell as Chloe Valentine.

The cast is completed by Eloise Davies is Brooke Lohst, Christopher Fry plays Mr Heere and Mr Reyes, James Hameed as Rich Goranski, Miles Paloma plays Jake Dillinger, Gabriel Hinchcliffe, Eve Norris and Jon Tsouras.

About Be More Chill

Based on Ned Vizzini's 2004 novel of the same name, Be More Chill follows Jeremy Heere, a high schooler who swallows a supercomputer pill named 'The Squip' to try and fit in with his peers. But, as his personality changes, the school kids learn that it's just better to be yourself.

In a review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, Mark Shenton praised the musical's ability to speak to a younger audience, commenting that "any musical that speaks to the next generation so profoundly is to be welcomed."

Be More Chill features an original book by Joe Tracz, with original music and lyrics by Joe Iconis.
