‘Bugsy Malone’ sets 2022 London dates as part of nationwide tour

You give a little love to Bugsy Malone and now the show is coming to London. As part of its nationwide tour, Bugsy Malone will play a London season at Alexandra Palace Theatre from 3 December to 15 Jan. 2023. Book Bugsy Malone tickets on London Theatre.

Set in Prohibition-era New York, Bugsy Malone follows the title character in a city complete with dreamers and mobsters. Although he’s professed his love to Blousey Brown, Bugsy can’t take his eyes off of club singer Tallulah, and often finds himself in trouble. Bugsy Malone features songs including “Tomorrow” and “My Name is Tallulah.”

This production of Bugsy Malone premiered at Lyric Hammersmith. In a London Theatre review of Bugsy Malone, our critic said: “These guys and these dolls are truly something special here, brimming with character and invention… [the backstage musical] puts the Lyric Hammersmith and its vibrant community of young actors back in business as one of London's liveliest, most youthful theatres.”

The Bugsy Malone childrens cast includes Kayla-Mai Alvares, Delilah Bennett-Cardy, Amar Blackman, Charlie Burns, Desmond Cole, Kit Cranston, Fayth Ifil, Taziva-Faye Katsande, Rayhaan Kufuor-Gray Mia Lakha, Cherry Mitra, Jamie Northey-Dennis, Aidan Oti, Gabriel Payne, Jasmine Sakyiama, Isham Sankoh, Shaun Sharma, Ava Hope Smith, Albie Snelson, and Avive Williams.

The adult Bugsy Malone cast features Alicia Ally, Esme Bacalla-Hayes, Mohamed Bangura, Alicia Belgarde, Marcus Billany, Kalifa Burton, Alisha Capon, Jessica Daugrida, Ru Fisher, Rory Fraser, Will Lucas, Andile Mabhena, Luke Mills, Luchia Moss, Georgia Pemberton, D'Mia Lindsay Walker, Thomas Walton, and Lucy Young.

Sean Holmes directs Bugsy Malone, which features choreography by Drew McOnie, set design by John Bausor, lighting design by Phil Gladwell, and sound design by Ben Harrison.
