‘But I’m A Cheerleader: The Musical’ announces full cast

The musical's UK premiere takes place at the Turbine Theatre.

The full cast of the UK premiere of But I'm A Cheerleader: The Musical has been named. But I'm A Cheerleader begins previews at the Turbine Theatre on 18 February, ahead of an opening night on 23 February, and performances to 16 April. But I'm A Cheerleader: The Musical tickets are on sale now.

The But I'm A Cheerleader musical is based on the 1999 coming-of-age movie of the same name. The story follows Megan, a high school cheerleader who is sent to a conversion therapy camp to "cure" her lesbianism. While at camp, Megan's life is changed when she meets a tomboy named Graham.

Alice Croft will play Megan Williams in But I'm A Cheerleader, with Evie Rose Lane playing Graham. The cast is completed by Oliver Brooks as Dad/Larry, Edward Chittick as Jared/Rock, Damon Gould as André, Tiffany Graves as Mary Brown, Jodie Jacobs as Mom/Lloyd, Lemuel Knights as Mike, Harry Singh as Jalal, Jodie Steele as Kimberly/Hilary, Aaron Teoh as Dolph, and Kia-Paris Walcott as Sinead.

But I'm A Cheerleader has a book and lyrics by Bill Augustin, music by Andrew Abrams, and direction by Tania Azevedo. The creative team includes choreography by Alexzandra Sarmiento, set and costume design by David Shields, lighting design by Martha Godfrey, and sound design by Christ Whybrow.

But I'm A Cheerleader was first staged at MTFest UK 2019, a musical festival dedicated to presenting new works. 

But I'm A Cheerleader: The Musical is at the Turbine Theatre.

But I'm A Cheerleader: The Musical tickets are on sale now.
