Central London fire affects several West End shows

It is being reported that a fire in the Holborn area of central London is causing power outages, with homes and businesses having been evacuated. Several nearby West End theatres are being affected and some performances scheduled for this evening will be cancelled as a consquence.

Details are still coming through at the time of writing, but it has been confirmed that performances for the following shows will not be going ahead this evening:

Beautiful - The Carole King Musical - Aldwych Theatre (also cancelled on Thu 2 April)

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Theatre Royal Drury Lane

Gypsy - Savoy Theatre

The Lion King - Lyceum Theatre

Mamma Mia - Novello Theatre (also cancelled on Thu 2 April)

The Play That Goes Wrong - Duchess Theatre

The Woman In Black - Fortune Theatre (also cancelled on Thu 2 April)
