Charlotte d'Amboise has joined the cast of Tru at the Menier Chocolate Factory alongside the previously announced Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Truman Capote. Jay Presson Allen’s play runs in London from 19 September through 14 November.
Tony Award winner Ferguson (Modern Family) and d'Amboise (Cats, Chicago, A Chorus Line on Broadway) previously performed Tru together at the House of the Redeemer in New York City earlier this year.
Drawn from The Breakfast at Tiffany’s writer's own words, Tru centers on Capote following the publication of an essay that costs him his elite social circle.
The creative team includes director Rob Ashford, scenic designer Paul Farnsworth, costume designer Jaimal Odedra, lighting designer Jamie Platt, sound designer Adam Cork, and associate director and Swan walking cover Kate Tydman.
The production is from The Menier Chocolate Factory, in association with Seaview, OHenry Productions, and Mickey Liddell & Pete Shilaimon.
