As if! Clueless: The Musical is coming to the West End, opening on 15 February 2025 at the Trafalgar Theatre.
With music by folk rock star KT Tunstall (singer of hits "Suddenly I See" and "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree"), lyrics by Glenn Slater, choreography by Kelly Devine, and direction from Rachel Kavanaugh, this new musical will be all suited up in yellow plaid and ready to rock in 2025.
Inspired by Jane Austen's classic novel Emma, Heckerling's Clueless has inspired generations with its wit and humor, chronicling the adventures of ditzy rich girl Cher who thinks she should be in everybody's business. In her attempt to take a new girl in school under her wings, she discovers what really matters in life, besides having a good sense of style.
Cher Horowitz, a well-meaning but goofy meddler, was first portrayed by Alicia Silverstone in the classic film by Amy Heckerling and by Disney Channel starlet Dove Cameron during the musical's world-premiere run off Broadway in 2018. No casting has been announced for the London production yet.
