‘Dick Whittington’ drag pantomime to play at Phoenix Theatre

The company will include drag queens from RuPaul's Drag Race UK.

After Cinderella at Trafalgar Studios in 2019 and Death Drop at the Garrick Theatre earlier this year, TuckShop are back with a new drag pantomime this Christmas. Dick Whittington will run at the Phoenix Theatre on selected dates from 5 December - 9 January.

The cast will include Cheryl Hole as Dick Whittington, who starred in the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK. Two queens from Drag Race UK series 3 will star; Kitty Scott Claus as The Spirit of Soho and Choriza May as Queen Rat.

Holly Stars will play The Cat, with Beau Jangles as The Mayor of Soho, Yshee Black as Dame Sarah and Ophelia Love as Villager Number 4. Karen from Finance will play Alice and Richard Energy will play Daddy. Dick Whittington is written by Gareth Joiner. 

Dick Whittington will follow the title character as they become the Mayor of London, trying to win over Alice. Dick Whittington is at the Phoenix Theatre on 5 December, 12 December, a two-show day on 19 December, 4 January and 9 January.

Dick Whittington will share the Phoenix Theatre with Come From Away over the Christmas period. Come From Away tickets are on sale now.
