Dolly Parton musical 9 to 5 coming to the West End starring Louise Redknapp
Featuring some of Parton's biggest hits as well as original numbers written for the show, the musical will also star Love Island winner Amber Davies, Kinky Boots actress Natalie McQueen, and West End leading man Brian Conley.
9 to 5 is based on the 1980 film of the same name which starred Parton, and tells the story of three women working for a company who fantasise about overthrowing their sexist, lying boss. It features the songs "9 to 5", "Backwoods Barbie" and "Get Out and Stay Out".
Louise Redknapp will star in 9 to 5. She was probably best known for singing in the pop group Eternal who had hits such as "Stay" before embarking on a solo career. On stage, she has previously appeared in a UK tour of Cabaret alongside Will Young. She also reached the final of the 2016 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Natalie McQueen is currently starring in the London production of Kinky Boots as Lauren. Her other previous stage credits include Dinah in The Other Palace production of Starlight Express, and The Mad Hatter in the UK tour of Wonderland.
Amber Davies is best-known for winning the 2017 series of Love Island, and has studied musical theatre at URDANG Academy in London.
Brian Conley is a seasoned musical theatre actor, having performed in West End shows from Me and My Girl, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Hairspray and Oliver. He was nominated for an Olivier Award for his role in Jolson in 1996, and has appeared in numerous pantomimes across the country.
9 to 5 premiered on Broadway in 2009 following a try-out in Los Angeles the previous year, and received the 15 Drama Desk Award nominations (the most received by a production in a single year) and four Tony Awards.
