The full cast has been revealed for musical parody Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch, which runs at the Other Palace from 6 February to 5 April.

Returning to the show from the Lowry run last Christmas are The Voice star Sam Buttery (Little Shop of Horrors, The Addams Family Concert) as Ursula, Allie Dart (Homo Alone, 2:22 A Ghost Story) as Sebastian and others, Blair Robertson (Mamma Mia!) as King Triton and others, James Spence (Unfortunate tour) as Eric and others, and Freya McMahon (Hairspray) as ensemble.

Joining the cast are Julie Yammanee (Young Frankenstein, Jerry’s Girls) as Ariel, as well as ensemble members Jacob Whawell (Cilla the Musical, Cats) and Kelly Sweeney (Heathers, SIX).

The transfer marks the musical’s fourth incarnation following two previous runs and a Christmas season. This version will feature a new set and costumes, new characters, and a new running time of 2 hours and 15 minutes including one interval.

Taking inspiration from Disney's The Little Mermaid, Unfortunate focuses on the story of Ursula the Sea Witch. The "pop culture legend and a feminist badass" takes centre stage in this new take on her backstory.
