Full cast to star alongside Emilia Clarke in The Seagull at the Playhouse Theatre
Ahead of next month's opening of Anya Reiss' adaptation of The Seagull at the Playhouse Theatre, the full cast for the production has been announced. They'll star alongside Emilia Clarke as Nina, who makes her West End debut in The Seagull, the second of three productions directed by Jamie Lloyd as part of his current West End season.
A star-studded cast in The Seagull
Indira Varma will reunite with her Game of Thrones co-star in The Seagull as Arkadina. On stage, Varma has starred in last year's revival of Present Laughter at the Old Vic, as well as The Hothouse at Trafalgar Studios and Twelfth Night at the Wyndham's Theatre.
Robert Glenister plays Sorin, who starred in Moonlight/Night School as part of the Jamie Lloyd Company Pinter at the Pinter season at the Harold Pinter Theatre. In the West End, Glenister has starred in Glengarry Glen Ross at the Playhouse Theatre and Noises Off at the Novello Theatre, with television credits including Hustle and Spooks.
The role of Polina will be played by Tamzin Outhwaite, who returns to the West End after appearing in Stepping Out at the Vaudeville Theatre. Best known as Melanie Owen in Eastenders, her stage credits include How The Other Half Lives at the Theatre Royal Haymarket and Di & Viv & Rose at the Vaudeville.
The cast is completed by Danny Ashok as Medvedenko, Tom Rhys Harries as Trigorin, Daniel Monks as Konstantin, Patrick Robinson as Dorn, Seun Shote as Shamrayev and Sophie Wu as Masha.

They'll star alongside the Mother of Dragons, Emilia Clarke as Nina in The Seagull. The British actress rose to fame as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, but she's also starred in a Broadway revival of Breakfast at Tiffanys.
