Full casting announced for [BLANK] by Alice Birch at the Donmar Warehouse

Full casting has been named for the upcoming production of [BLANK] by Alice Birch, which will receive its world premiere at the Donmar Warehouse in October.

Created from 100 unnamed scenes, [BLANK] sets out to examine contemporary consequences of the criminal justice system on women and their families from all parts of society. The production will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of Clean Break, a theatre company who specialise in working with women that have been affected by the criminal justice systems in the United Kingdom.  

[BLANK] is written by Alice Birch, an award-winning playwright whose works include Anatomy of a Suicide at the Royal Court and Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. for the Royal Shakespeare Company. The production is directed by Maria Aberg, who has previously directed Little Shop of Horrors at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre and RSC productions of The White Devil and King John.

Casting for [BLANK] includes Thusitha Jayasundera, whose previous credits include Our Town at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, Crime and Punishment and War Horse at the National Theatre. Kate O' Flynn will also appear in the production, recently starring in the end of history... at the Royal Court and the Pinter at the Pinter season at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Casting is completed by Ayesha Antoine, Shona Babayemi, Sophia Brown, Jackie Clune, Grace Doherty, Lucy Edkins, Zaris-Angel Hator, Zainab Hasan, Joanna Horton, Petra Letang, Leah Mondesir-Simmonds, Ashna Rabheru, Jemima Rooper and Taya Tower.

[BLANK] is the third production to be staged as part of Michael Longhurst's inaugural season as artistic director at the Donmar, with previous productions in the season including a revival of David Greig's Europe and the UK premiere of Appropriate. Upcoming productions include Teenage Dick by Mike Lew and a revival of Far Away by Caryl Churchill.  

[BLANK] is at the Donmar Warehouse from 11th October to 30th November.
