‘Heathers the Musical’ film to be recorded at The Other Palace

Heathers will be captured in its original London home.

This is definitely big fun! Heathers the Musical will be recorded at The Other Palace in May, ahead of a future release. The Heathers the Musical film recording will take place between 3 to 19 May, and Heathers performances will resume at The Other Palace on 20 May. Heathers tickets are on sale now.

The Heathers musical film will be available to watch in UK cinemas from 28 Mar. 2023.

“Heathers has captured the hearts and imaginations of so many people in the UK since it was first produced here in 2018. This marks an exciting next step in the show’s journey” said Heathers director Andy Fickman.

As part of the Heathers film recording, there will be two live performances, with audiences able to apply for tickets via a ballot.

The Heathers film casting includes Ailsa Davidson as Veronica Sawyer, Simon Gordon as Jason “J.D” Dean, Maddison Firth as Heather Chandler, Vivian Panka as Heather Duke and Teleri Hughes as Heather McNamara.

The film will also feature Vicki Lee Taylor as Ms. Fleming/Veronica’s Mom, Mhairi Angus as Martha Dunnstock, Liam Doyle as Kurt Kelly, Rory Phelan as Ram Sweeney, Oliver Brooks as Kurt’s Dad/Big Bud Dean/Coach Ripper, Andy Brandy as Ram’s Dad/Principle Gowan/Veronica’s Dad, Benjamin Karran as Beleaguered Geek, Chris Parkinson as Hipster Dork/Officer McCord, Jermaine Woods as Peppy Stud/Officer Milner, Eleanor Morrison Halliday as Young Republicanette, Mary-Jean Caldwell as Stoner Chick, Hannah Lowther as New Wave Party Girl and May Tether as Drama Club Drama Queen.

Heathers opened at The Other Palace in 2018, starring Carrie Hope Fletcher as Veronica Sawyer. Since then, the musical has played two West End engagements at Theatre Royal Haymarket and is back in its original London theatre for a homecoming run. Heathers is currently at The Other Palace to September 2022.

The Heathers musical features a book, music and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe, with direction by Andy Fickman, choreography by Gary Lloyd, designs by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell and sound by Dan Samson. The Heathers the Musical film is being created by Steam Motion and Sound.

When will the Heathers musical film be released?

The Heathers musical film will be released on the Roku channel on 16 September for US viewers. The Heathers musical film will be available to watch in UK cinemas on 28 Mar. 2023.
