Initial casting for the 2022 production of Anything Goes at the Barbican has been announced. Anything Goes will play a national tour this year, including a return engagement at the Barbican from 15 July to 3 September, and Anything Goes tickets are on sale now.

Kerry Ellis will play Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes — a role previously played by Sutton Foster and Rachel York. Ellis' previous West End credits include Wicked, Cats, and Murder Ballad.

"I am so excited to be taking on the role of Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes this summer. This glorious show is classic musical theatre at its very best" said Ellis. "Reno is an iconic character in musical theatre. I can't wait to get my tap shoes on and share this fabulous musical."

Bonnie Langford will play Evangeline Harcourt in Anything Goes. Langford's recent West End credits include 9 to 5 and 42nd Street. Olivier Award-winning actors Denis Lawson and Simon Callow will play Moonface Martin and Elisha Whitney respectively.

Anything Goes cast members returning from the 2021 production include Samuel Edwards as Billy Crocker, Carly Mercedes Dyer as Erma, Nicole-Lily Baisden as Hope Harcourt, and Haydn Oakley as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Further casting for Anything Goes will be announced at a later date.

Anything Goes follows a group of eclectic passengers on board the S.S. American as they sail to London. Along the way, travellers find love, have their identities mistaken and get up to plenty of mischief. Anything Goes features songs by Cole Porter including "Friendship," "You're The Top," and "I Get A Kick Out of You."

In a five-star review of the 2021 production of Anything Goes at the Barbican, our critic said: "You'll regret it if you don't tap dance your way to the Barbican right now to see this piece of musical theatre magic... The effect is truly euphoric."

The Anything Goes creative team includes direction and choreography by Kathleen Marshall, scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Jon Morrell, lighting design by Hugh Vanstone and sound design by Jonathan Deans.

Anything Goes will tour the UK this year. The Anything Goes tour begins in Bristol, with further dates in Liverpool, Edinburgh, Canterbury, Manchester, before ending at the Barbican this summer.
