Based on Yann Martel’s award-winning novel of the same name, Life of Pi follows a sixteen-year-old boy who recalls the tragic events of being a shipwreck’s sole human survivor. While making his painstaking way to shore, he is accompanied by a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan and a Royal Bengal tiger.

The Life of Pi cast includes Hiran Abeysekera as Pi, Mina Anwar as Ma, Nicholas Khan as Father, Payal Mistry as Rani, Tom Espiner as Father Martin and Commander Grant-Jones, Raj Ghatak as Mamaji and Pandit-Ji, Syreeta Kumar as Mrs Biology Kumar and Zaida Khan, David K.S. Tse as Mr Okamoto, Kirsten Foster as Lulu Chen, Habib Nasib Nader as Cook and Voice of Tiger.

The seven puppeteers who operate the Richard Parker tiger are Fred Davis (Tiger Head), Daisy Franks (Tiger Hind), Romina Hytten (Tiger Heart), Tom Larkin (Tiger Head), Tom Stacy (Tiger Hind) and Scarlet Wilderink (Tiger Heart). Find out more about the Life of Pi puppets.

Max Webster directs Life of Pi. Set and costume design is Tim Hatley, with puppet movement and design by Finn Caldwell and Nick Barnes, lighting design by Tim Lutkin, and sound design by Carolyn Downing.
