Numerous award-winning West End actors will join the ninth annual panto at the historic venue, with performances running from December 2024 to January 2025.

Direct from Broadway, Myles Frost will make his West End debut in [*MJ the Musical*](https://www.londontheatre.co.uk/show/28638-mj-the-musical) when it hits the West End stage next year. 

Frost, the show’s original lead actor, will portray the late King of Pop and bring Michael Jackson’s unique story to life. He won the 2022 Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for playing Jackson on Broadway, making him the youngest individual actor to ever win the award. 

“I’m super excited to bring this show to the West End and to make this a magical experience for everybody,” Myles Frost said in a statement.

*MJ* centres on the turbulent story behind the making of Michael Jackson’s 1992 Dangerous World Tour, and it revisits highlights from throughout Jackson’s singular career. The show features all his greatest hit songs, including “Thriller,” “Man in the Mirror,” “Beat It,” and “Billie Jean.”

An internationally renowned creative team will join Frost, including two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Lynn Nottage and two-time Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Christopher Wheeldon. The scenic design by Derek McLane lighting design by Natasha Katz, costume design by Paul Tazewell, sound design by Gareth Owen, projection design by Peter Nigrini, and hair and wig design by Charles LaPointe. Musical supervision is by David Holcenberg, and the orchestrations and arrangements are by David Holcenberg and Jason Michael Webb.

Further casting for the London production of *MJ* is yet to be confirmed. The Tony Award-winning musical will begin performances on 7 March 2024 at London’s [Prince Edward Theatre](https://www.londontheatre.co.uk/theatres/prince-edward-theatre).

The sold-out National Theatre production transfers to the West End this Autumn.

The Prince Edward Theatre opened in 1930, and was named after the then Prince of Wales, who went on to become Edward VIII. In 1978, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s new musical, *Evita*, made a star of its leading lady, Elaine Paige. Paige then starred in *Chess* and *Anything Goes*, both at the Prince Edward Theatre.

The building was completely refurbished in 1992. Bernard Delfont and Cameron Mackintosh now owned the theatre, and spent over £3 million on remodelling the auditorium, improving the acoustics and increasing the size of the stage. The new Prince Edward Theatre was unveiled in March 1993 with the opening of *Crazy for You*, a Gershwin musical transferring from Broadway.

Delfont Mackintosh Theatres Ltd. continue to renovate the theatre between productions, making the faceight-yearemplary and one of the most desirable spaces in the West End.

## Prince Edward Theatre Seating Information

The auditorium has three levels – the Stalls, Dress Circle and Grand Circle. In the Stalls, patrons will find excellent legroom throughout, and a gentle rake throughout the auditorium allows for excellent views. 

The Dress Circle does not offer the same level of legroom, but again offers great views. The last five rows will have their view obstructed by the overhang of the, Grand Circle. 

The Dress Circle loges are a unique feature to this theatre — they take on the form of individual, tiered boxes but with a direct view of the stage rather than the side-on view usually associated with box seats. 

The Grand Circle offers excellent sightlines as the seats are fairly steeply raked.
