Lyndsey Turner's critically acclaimed revival comes to the Gielgud Theatre in the West End for three months following a sold-out run at the National Theatre.
Salem comes to the West End in June with The Crucible, director Lyndsey Turner's acclaimed revival of Arthur Miller's classic play. Following a sold-out run at the National Theatre, West End performances run at the Gielgud Theatre from 7 June to 2 September, and you can see first-look photos from the rehearsal room now.
House of the Dragon's Milly Alcock, Succession's Caitlin FitzGerald, and more star in the show about the Salem Witch Trials, in which young women in Salem, Massachusetts began to get accused of witchcraft. They quickly learn that they also have the power to accuse, so private feuds turn into public allegations — and the truth gets blurrier with every one.
The cast features Alcock as Abigail Williams, FitzGerald as Elizabeth Proctor, Brian Gleeson as John Proctor, Karl Johnson as Giles Corey, Fisayo Akinade as Reverend Hale, and Matthew Marsh as Danforth.
Completing the cast are Christopher Birch, Lucy Brindle, Grace Farrell, Chyna-Rose Frederick, Miya James, Ebony Jonelle, Tama Phethean, Amy Snudden, Nia Towle, Samuel Townsend, David Ahmad, Zoë Aldrich, Stephanie Beattie, Raphael Bushay, Henry Everett, Nick Fletcher, Colin Haigh, Nadine Higgin, Gracie McGonigal, Alastair Parker, Joy Tan, and Tilly Tremayne.
