Simon Thomas plays Warner in Legally Blonde 25 Oct

Simon Thomas will take over the role of 'Warner' from Richard Fleeshman, from 25 Oct 2010, in Legally Blonde The Musical at the Savoy Theatre

Simon Thomas has just finished playing Rapunzel's Prince in Into the Woods at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, immediately prior to this he played the role of Tarzan in the Disney production of Tarzan at the Theatre Neue Flora in Hamburg. Further theatre credits include Cymbeline, Twelfth Night and HMS Pinafore all for Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, Marguerite at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, Merry Wives Of Windsor for the Royal Shakespeare Company. His film and TV credits include Damian in The Score, Russian Army conscript in Bigga Than Ben and How Music Works.

The show continues to feature Sheridan Smith (Elle Woods), Alex Gaumond (Emmett), Peter Davison (Professor Callahan), Susan McFadden (Serena), Aoife Mulholland (Brooke), Emma Bateman (Stenographer), Chris Ellis-Stanton (Grandmaster Chad, Dewey, Kyle), Ibinabo Jack (Pilar), Suzie McAdam (Enid), Andy Mace (Dad, Winthrop, Reporter), Sorelle Marsh (Courtney, Mom, Whitney), Sean Mulligan (Pforzheimer), Tamara Wall (District Attorney), Jane McMurtrie, Lucy Miller.

Legally Blonde The Musical, opened at the Savoy Theatre 13 Jan 2010, following previews from 5 Dec, to positive notices from the popular press press: Paul Taylor for The Independent says, "Totally blown away...it's ridiculously enjoyable from start to finish." Benedict Nightingale for The Times says, "Delightful, annoying, supremely wishful musical..." Henry Hitchings for The Evening Standard says, "It's energetic and amusing."

It has music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, book by Heather Hach. Orchestrations by Christopher Jahnke.

It is directed & choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, designed by David Rockwell, costumes by Gregg Barnes, lighting by Kenneth Posner and Paul Miller, sound by ACME Sound Partners. Produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Robert G Bartner, Ambassador Theatre Group and Jamie Hendry Productions.
