Helen Edmundson's new play Some Woman will have its world premiere at the National Theatre. Performances begin in the Dorfman theatre this year.

It marks the first new, original play from Edmundson (Coram Boy) since Queen Anne in 2015, which explored the relationship between Stuart monarch Queen Anne and Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough.

Some Woman will see Edmundson return to the National Theatre for the first time following her acclaimed adaptation of Small Island in 2019.

Further details including casting are yet to be announced.
