The Woman in Black extends to 16 Jan 2016 at Fortune

The long running thriller The Woman in Black, has extended its booking period to 16 January 2016 at the Fortune Theatre in London's West End where it has been playing for the past 26 years.

This ghost story, written by Stephen Mallatratt from the novel by Susan Hill, opened at the Fortune Theatre on 7 June 1989 after first being performed at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough in 1987.

It features direction by Robin Herford, designs by Michael Holt and lighting by Kevin Sleep.

"Arthur Kipps, a junior solicitor, is summoned to attend the funeral of Mrs Alice Drablow, the house's sole inhabitant, unaware of the tragic secrets which lie hidden behind the shuttered windows..."

The cast for the long running production currently includes Julian Forsyth and Antony Eden who will remain in the show until August 2015.

The Woman in Black has since been adapted into a film starring Daniel Radcliffe as Arthur Kipps, which has also spawned a sequel.
