Tickets are now on sale for "Fuddy Meers" at Arts

Tickets are now on sale for David Lindsay Abaire's comedy Fuddy Meers, which opens at the Arts Theatre 20 May 2004, following previews from 12 May, and booking to 28 Aug 2004.

The cast includes Katie Finneran, Nicholas Le Prevost, Matthew Lillard, Julia McKenzie, Tim Hopper, John Gallagher, Charlotte Randle.

Fuddy Meers was first seen in 1999 Off-Broadway at New York´s Manhattan Theatre Club. It will play at the Birmingham Rep this month before its run at the Arts Theatre.

It is directed by Angus Jackson, designed by Lez Brotherston, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Alex Gallafent, and produced by Fiery Angel / Scamp Film / Birmingham Rep.

Katie Finneran's (Claire) , Broadway credits include "Noises Off", "Cabaret", "The Iceman Cometh". Her film credits include "You've Got Mail" and "Liberty Heights ".

Nicholas Le Prevost's (Richard) London stage credits include: "Mind Millie For Me" at the Haymarket in 1996; "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie " at the Lyttelton, NT in 1998; "Amadeus" at the Old Vic in 1999; "Last Dance At Dum Dum" at the New Ambassadors in 1999; "My Fair Lady" at the Lyttelton, NT in 2001; "Much Ado About Nothing" at the Haymarket in 2002; "Blood" at the Royal Court in 2003.

Matthew Lillard London stage credits include "Bash" at the Almeida in 2000. But is best known for his film work including "Scooby Doo" "Scream", "Hackers" and many many more!

Julia McKenzie's London stage credits include "Communicating Doors" at the Gielgud in 1995 and "Kafka's Dick" at the Piccadilly in 1998/99, and "The Royal Family" at the Haymarket in 2001. Her TV credits include "Fresh Fields"

Claire, a woman who suffers from a strange form of amnesia, wakes up every morning with no memory, yet retains her sunny disposition. She´s eager to unearth who she really is, and on this particular morning she´s in for the most jam-packed day of discovery imaginable, meeting a series of bizarre characters along the way. A husband she does not know, a lisping, limping disfigured man who claims to be her brother, her stroke-impaired mother, a cop who may or may not be a cop and a convict on the run who can only express himself through a foul-mouthed sock puppet.
