UK premiere of Afterglow to be staged at Southwark Playhouse

It has been announced that the UK premiere of Afterglow will take place at Southwark Playhouse later in the year.

Afterglow tells the story of Josh and Alex, a married couple who invite another man to share their bed with them. As the three develop intimate relationships grow closer to one another, the three must face each other's ideas of what it means to be in love, as well as their attitudes towards intimacy and commitment.

Afterglow will run at Southwark Playhouse from 5th June for a limited engagement of seven weeks, with a final performance on 20th July.

The production will be directed by Tom O'Brien, whose previous directorial credits include Fabric and Coming Up, as well as being the resident director for the international tour of Miss Saigon.

Casting for Afterglow, as well as a full creative team is to be announced.

Afterglow was performed off-Broadway at the Davenport Theatre for 14 months, with the show's final performance on 12th August 2018.  

Afterglow is at Southwark Playhouse from 5th June to 20th July.
