West End charity concert to take place at the Palace Theatre in November
The Show Must Go On! Live at the Palace Theatre will feature cast performances from London’s biggest shows.
A star-studded set of charity concerts will be performed at the Palace Theatre next month, raising money for Theatre Support Fund+. The concerts will take place from 13-15 November, with all profits going to Acting For Others and the Fleabag Support Fund. Tickets are available for The Show Must Go On Live! on TodayTix.
Full casting for the concert is to be announced. However, it has been confirmed that shows taking part include & Juliet, Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Mamma Mia, The Prince of Egypt, Six, Tina the Musical, and Wicked.
The Show Must Go On! marks the first show to be staged at the Palace Theatre since lockdown began. The Palace Theatre is opening in the West End as part of Nimax Theatres’ commitment to reopen theatres.
Ahead of the concerts, Nimax Chief Executive Nica Burns said: “It warms the heart to see all these fantastic West End shows coming together to benefit our community. A big thank you to everyone taking part on stage and off and a special shout out to the producers, The Theatre Support Fund+ and Take Two Theatricals for making it happen.”
Set up earlier this year, the Theatre Support Fund+ aims to support theatre industry workers throughout the coronavirus pandemic. To date, they’ve raised over £350,000, helped by ‘The Show Must Go On!’ artwork which features artwork from 16 West End musicals.
The Show Must Go On! Live at the Palace Theatre is produced by Take Two Theatricals, directed by Luke Sheppard and Anna Fox, scenic design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Neil Austin and Howard Hudson and sound design by Adam Fisher.
