Young Michael Jackson cast!

Three 13-year-old boys - Layton Williams, Sterling Williams & Kieron Alleyne will share the role of young Michael Jackson in Thriller Live, featuring the songs of Michael Jackson & The Jackson 5, which opens at the Lyric Theatre Shaftesbury Ave, on 21 Jan 2009, following previews from 2 Jan 2009 - booking to 12 April 2009.

Layton Williams was the first black Billy Elliot and second longest-running performer in the show's history (his run has just ended on Saturday November 30). He also starred in the recent BBC 2 comedy Beautiful People by Jonathan Harvey. Layton lives in Bury, Lancashire with his mother Michelle, his step-dad Curtis, his two brothers Joshua and Regan and sister Renee.

Sterling Williams played young Simba in The Lion King in the West End but has been in full time education for the past year. The Lion King marked Sterling's West End debut. He lives in Mitcham in Surrey and attends school in Kingston.

Kieron Alleyne is a total newcomer from Leicester and his only stage experience was playing Michael Jackson in a school tribute production, called THRILLER. He was discovered through the open audition for Thriller Live on Sunday 23 November.

The show, originally conceived and created by Adrian Grant, is directed and choreographed by Gary Lloyd, with additional choreography by LaVelle Smith Jnr and and Kerys Nathan.
