Dear Evan Hansen Information

The smash-hit Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, from the writers of La La Land and The Greatest Showman, transferred to London's Noel Coward Theatre in November 2019. Dear Evan Hansen returns from 26 Oct. 2021. Dear Evan Hansen tickets in London are on sale now.

A letter that was never meant to be seen, a lie that was never meant to be told, a life he never dreamed he could have. Evan Hansen is about to get the one thing he's always wanted: a chance to finally fit in. Both deeply personal and profoundly contemporary, DEAR EVAN HANSEN is a new musical about life and the way we live it.

The cast of the musical is led by Sam Tutty, who was picked for the show straight out of stage school, having graduated from Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in February and taking part in open auditions with some 8,000 other hopefuls. The role has previously been played by Ben Platt on Broadway, who went on to win the Tony Award for best actor in a musical for his performance.

Tutty is joined by fellow West End cast members Lucy Anderson, Doug Colling, Marcus Harman, Rebecca McKinnis, Lauren Ward, Rupert Young, Jack Loxton, Nicole Raquel Dennis, Tricia Adele-Turner, David Breeds, Haydn Cox, Natalie Kassanga, Hannah Lindsey, Mark Peachey, Courtney Stapleton, Alex Thomas-Smith and James Winter.

Dear Evan Hansen opened in London at the Noel Coward Theatre in the West End in November 2019 having begun previews on 29th October, with tickets available now. Booking for the show has also extended through to June 2020, following phenomenal ticket demand.

Dear Evan Hansen opened on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre in 2016, and was an instant hit, loved for its story, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul's score, and the leading performance of Platt in the title role. The musical picked up 6 Tony Awards in 2017 including best musical, best book of a musical and best original score, which includes "Waving Through a Window", "Anybody Have a Map?" and "You Will Be Found".

The musical has been a cult hit, with recordings of the show's songs being released by the likes of Katy Perry and in March 2018, Platt and Lin-Manuel Miranda released a mash-up version of "You Will Be Found" from Hansen and "The Story of Tonight" from Miranda's Hamilton.

Dear Evan Hansen tickets in London are available now.

Please note: There is a strictly-enforced limit of 6 tickets per person, per booking period.

What are reviews like for Dear Evan Hansen?

"Don't just sit there, get tickets. Get tickets for your whole family and your best buddies. Give a pair of tickets to the person who delivers your mail."
Margret Echeverria, New York Theatre Guide

"This gorgeous heartbreaker of a musical has grown in emotional potency during its journey to the big leagues, after first being produced in Washington and off-Broadway. Rarely - scratch that — never have I heard so many stifled sobs and sniffles in the theater."
Charles Isherwood, New York Times

"Benj Pasek and Justin Paul's score, orchestrated by Alex Lacamoire, brims with tuneful and thoughtful songs that sound, as few Broadway songs do, like they could be on the radio tomorrow; Evan's first number, "Waving Through a Window," is an instant classic."
Adam Feldman, Time Out

"What's perhaps most distinctive about the melodic emo-pop score for Dear Evan Hansen is how beautifully it captures the peaks and valleys of adolescence, in the thoughtful lyrics and in the music itself, given expressive orchestrations by Hamilton Tony winner Alex Lacamoire."
David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter
