Katherine Parkinson is best known for her BAFTA TV Award-winning appearance in Channel 4’s The IT Crowd. A LAMDA graduate, she is regularly seen on television and stage in some of the most popular shows around.

Her breakout performance came in 2005 when she was cast as Pauline Lamb in Doc Martin, the long-running comedy-drama on ITV. She appeared in the role for three series before moving on to The IT Crowd. Asked to audition by Chris O’Dowd, who had been a friend of hers at college, Parkinson starred in all 25 episodes of the hit series. Her other TV appearances include The Great Outdoors, The Bleak Old Shop of Stuff and The Kennedys.

On stage, Parkinson has appeared at the Royal Court in Chekhov’s The Seagull alongside Mackenzie Crook and Kristin Scott Thomas. She returned to the Royal Court in 2009 to star in CockShe made her National Theatre debut in 2010 in Season’s Greetings. More recently, Parkinson has been in Before the Party at the Almeida Theatre, Dead Funny at the Vaudeville Theatre and Home I'm Darling
