Favourite restaurant

I’d have to say Browns Covent Garden. Great décor, great atmosphere, and excellent food right in the middle of St Martin’s Lane, making it the perfect pre-theatre stop. I also love a visit to Steak and Lobster or Big Easy — anything BBQ and I'm in.

Favourite cocktail or mocktail

I’m a sucker for a post-show negroni. The Brasserie Zédel bar will always be close to my heart as the place for a drink!

Favourite pub

Whilst doing the show Humbug over Christmas 2025 we loved hanging out at Vaulty Towers on Lower Marsh - such a wild and wonderful interior and many post-show nights were spent there.

Favourite neighbourhood

Apart from my home town of Enfield (the best place in the world), I’m a big Camden guy. I played my first gig there when I was 16 and have been obsessed with the place ever since. Every music venue has its own charm and legacy and I always enjoy working there. And of course Soho never gets dull.

09:00

The Breakfast Club

Head to one of The Breakfast Club’s central London branches for a slap-up English cafe classic.

10:30

Buckingham Palace

Is there anything more British than the changing of the guards? Arrive early for a good spot to watch this historic event, which takes place every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 10.45am.

Fsvourite pre- or post-theatre haunt

Post-theatre, I’m a regular at the Phoenix Arts Club. It’s such a lovely community of people that work and hang out down there, and it’s always a great place post-show. I also enjoy hunting down a sweet treat around Soho. Bilmonte is a recent haunt!

Also a nightcap at Zédel or catching some blues at Ain’t Nothin’ But are up there.

Favourite coffee spot

I must shout out The Yard at Palmers Green Station where I live. Nearly every commute starts with a flat white from them. I also love anything matcha from Blank Street — I’ve got quite the sweet tooth.

Favourite non-theatre thing to do

I’m a tennis guy through and through, so you’ll find me on court nearly anytime the sun is out, mostly at my club in Enfield or indoors at the Westway in the winter. I’m also a lifelong Crystal Palace fan and attend every game I possibly can.

Favourite theatre

The Olivier at the National. I have so many special memories of shows I’ve seen there, particularly when I was growing up. I remember seeing Jonny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch in Frankenstein there. It’s such a stunning building with gorgeous views overlooking the Thames. Special mention also goes to the Barbican.

Favourite park

Apart from my local Broomfield Park in Palmers Green, I love a stroll through Horse Guards into St James’s Park, which is a beautiful space. Also Primrose Hill is a favourite — I’ve played countless proposals there!

Favourite hotel

I’ve lived in London my whole life, so I don’t believe I’ve ever spent a night in a London hotel. But I really enjoy touring with either theatre or music, so I always enjoy finding a quirky Airbnb slightly out of town.
