'Million Dollar Quartet' to transfer to London

The jukebox musical follows Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley through the jam session that made music history.

The Barn Theatre production of Tony Award-nominated Million Dollar Quartet will transfer to London this autumn for a strictly limited season. Performances begin at The Arts at Marble Arch: powered by TodayTix on 4 September, running through 6 December.

The jukebox musical follows Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley through the jam session that made music history, as they came together in a recording studio in Memphis and created a soundtrack that defined an era. The show features hit songs including “Blue Suede Shoes”, “Fever”, “Walk The Line”, and “Hound Dog”.

West End star Darren Day will reprise the role of visionary producer Sam Phillips, with full casting to be announced shortly.

With a book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, and original concept and direction by Floyd Mutrux, the show's creative team also has direction by Jonathan O’Boyle. Choreography is by Joanna Goodwin, with set and costume design by Libby Watson, lighting design by Alex Musgrave, sound design by Nick Lodge, and musical supervision by Lee Freeman.
