Actor Geoffrey Hutchings has died at the age of 71

Actor Geoffrey Hutchings, has died at the age of 71. He died suddenly, in hospital, on the morning of 1 July 2010 following a suspected viral infection.

His London stage credits in recent years include "The Shawshank Redemption" at the Wyndham's in 2009; Herr Schultz in "Cabaret" at the Lyric in 2006; "Epitaph For George Dillon"at the Comedy in 2005; "The Birthday Party" at the Duchess in 2005; Nagg in "Endgame" at the Albery in 2004 "See You Next Tuesday" at the Albery in 2003; Sid James in Cleo, Camping,Emmanuelle and Dick" at the Lyttelton, NT in 1998

His numerous TV credits includes "Our Friends in the North" , "Wild At Heart", Bad Girls, and "Benidorm".
