Amber Davies to star in West End run of 'Legally Blonde The Musical'

Legally Blonde follows a fashion-loving sorority president as she enrols at Harvard to win back her ex-boyfriend, only to discover she loves something else far more.

Amber Davies will lead the cast of Legally Blonde The Musical when it transfers to the London Coliseum next year, following a UK and Ireland tour. The show will open at the venue on 22 March 2027, running through 22 May 2027.

Davies, who appeared at the venue in The Great Gatsby in 2025, will reprise her starring role of Elle Woods in the West End. She was recently a runner up in the 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing, and her other theatre credits include the UK Tour of Pretty Woman, Back to the Future The Musical, Bring It On, and 9 to 5 the Musical.

Featuring original music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach, Legally Blonde follows a fashion-loving sorority president as she enrols at Harvard to win back her ex-boyfriend, only to discover she loves something else far more. She show is based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge.

The creative team includes direction by Curve’s Artistic Director Nikolai Foster, with choreography by Leah Hill, musical supervision and additional arrangements by Matt Spencer-Smith, set design by Colin Richmond, costume design by Tom Rogers, wigs, hair & make-up design by Sam Cox, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, and sound design by Adam Fisher.
