Sophocles’s ancient Greek play Antigone follows a family caught in a hostile state. Inua Ellams will adapt the piece with a contemporary outlook.

Zainab Hasan will play the title role, joined by Tony Jayawardena, Pandora Colin, Rhianna Dorris, Sandy Grierson, Nadeem Islam, Abe Jarman, Oliver Johnstone, Munir Khairdin, Susan Lawson-Reynolds, Eli London, Shazia Nicholls, Mervin Noronha, Razak Osman, Joseph Prouse, Nadia Sohawon, Riley Woodford and Lydia Bakelmun.

Antigone will feature set design by Leslie Travers, costume design by Khadija Raza, lighting design by Jack Knowles, sound design by Emma Laxton, and choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille.

Antigone is at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
