'Beetlejuice' announces early closure in the West End

Based on Tim Burton's 1988 film, Beetlejuice follows teenager Lydia Deetz as she moves house with her father and ends up sharing her new home with a pair of newly-deads and the demonic ghost Beetlejuice — who ends up causing a whole lot of havoc.

Beetlejuice in the West End has set a new final performance date at the Prince Edward Theatre. Performances will now continue through 2 January 2027.

Originally planned to run until next spring, Beetlejuice opened in London following three runs on Broadway and a North American tour.

Based on Tim Burton's 1988 film, Beetlejuice follows teenager Lydia Deetz as she moves house with her father and ends up sharing her new home with a pair of newly-deads and the demonic ghost Beetlejuice — who ends up causing a whole lot of havoc.

The show features music and lyrics by Eddie Perfect and a book by Scott Brown and Anthony King. Alex Timbers directs.

The cast includes David Fynn as Beetlejuice, with Tom Xander as the alternate Beetlejuice, Hannah Nordberg as Lydia Deetz and Daisy Harrison as the alternate Lydia. David Hunter and Chelsea Halfpenny play Adam and Barbara Maitland, while Alasdair Harvey stars as Charles Deetz.

Summer Strallen plays Delia until 2 November, with Aimie Atkinson then returning to the role.

Also in the company are Chasity Crisp as Maxine Dean / Juno, Richard Frame as Otho, Irvine Iqbal as Maxie Dean, Rachel Macdougall as Girl Scout and Vanessa Aurora Sierra as Miss Argentina. They are joined by Jemma Alexander, Samuel Bangs, Natasha Cayabyab, Chris Draper, Harley Emmitt, Catherine McCormick, Robbie McMillan, Kieran Mellish, Elliott Parry, Jacob Smith, Adam Taylor, Tyler Timmins and Issie Wilman.
