The Book of Mormon

Musical

Long runner

Devised by the creators of South Park, The Book of Mormon is a musical comedy following young missionaries Elder Price and Elder Cummings, who are shipped off to Uganda on their first assignment. They’re chalk and cheese in terms of personality, but the challenging project brings them together despite their differences. The locals don’t care about being converted – war, poverty, and AIDS take priority. Lest that sound miserable, we guarantee that you and your friends will howl with laughter at the taboo-busting humour.

The Producers

Musical
Comedy
Mel Brooks

There might never have been The Book of Mormon without Mel Brooks’s The Producers to set the precedent for bad-taste yet mainstream musical comedy. Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, the most notorious (yet lovable) theatre producers of all, are back in town in Patrick Marber’s celebrated production. Their friendship is forged through being partners in crime and ripping off old ladies – however, we do of course urge you and your friends to stay on the straight and narrow!

Wicked

Musical
Iconic
Female led

Wicked is a true homage to friendship – it isn’t always an immediate connection and can take time to grow. Green girl Elphaba and pink princess Glinda are total opposites yet find themselves drawn together and have the potential to be the greatest team there’s ever been. It’s been running for almost 20 years and is as funny, spectacular, and moving as ever. If you enjoyed the films, you’re sure to be changed for good by the magical original stage version.
