Actress Carrie Hope Fletcher will star in a new production of Heathers the Musical in London this summer.

Heathers is a musical adaptation of the cult 1988 film which starred Christian Slater and Winona Ryder, and is about a group of high school girls: Veronica, and her three friends each named Heather. They're the most popular girls in school, but Veronica decides she's had enough of the Heathers and wants to return to her old, geeky friends.

Heathers the Musical will run at The Other Palace from 9th June to 4th August. Tickets are on sale now.

Carrie Hope Fletcher will play Veronica in the musical. Her previous stage credits include Éponine in Les Miserables, Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family, and Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. She has also just released her debut album, When the Curtain Falls, and has had a number of best-selling books and boasts over 640,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

Heathers received five workshop performances at The Other Palace in early 2017, and artistic director Paul Taylor-Mills has said it's a project he has been working on for years to bring to the stage.

Further casting for Heathers is to be announced.

Heathers the Musical is at The Other Palace from 9th June to 4th August.
