Cast announced for new production of 'The Snowman' in the West End

Based on the much-loved picture book by Raymond Briggs, and featuring Howard Blake’s score, The Snowman tells the story of a young boy who builds a snowman that comes to life. Paddington's puppet designer Tahra Zafar joins the creative team.

Full casting has been revealed for the new production of Christmas favourite The Snowman, which begins performances at the Peacock Theatre in the West End on 21 November, running through 3 January 2027.

Based on the much-loved picture book by Raymond Briggs, and featuring Howard Blake’s score, The Snowman tells the story of a young boy who builds a snowman that comes to life. The show includes the number "Walking in the Air".

Felix Anderson, Jake Durant, Tristan Marwa, and Tate Masuku will share the role of the Boy. They are joined in the ensemble by dancers Teague Applegate, Andrew Ashton, Serafina Sofia Barbieri, Ross Black, Natasha Chu, Eleanor Copping, Kynda Ng, Alice O’Brien, Andrii Osadchyi, Suzy Osadchyi, Ben Randall, and Aaron Smyth.

Directed and choreographed by Olivier Award winner Will Tuckett, the creative team also includes Snowman costume designer Tahra Zafar (Paddington The Musical), designer Anna Fleischle, video designer Nina Dunn for PixelLux, Tony Award-winning illusions designer Chris Fisher, puppet designer Daisy Beattie, lighting designer Matt Daw, sound designer Kelsh Buckman-Drage, and flying directors Floyd Hughes and Adam Bailey.

The original Birmingham Rep production first opened in 1993, becoming the venue's longest-running production. The show has had a 29-year seasonal residency at Sadler’s Wells’ Peacock Theatre.
