Cast announced for Shoes at Peacock from 8 Feb

Casting has been announced for The Sadler's Wells production of Shoes by Richard Thomas & Stephen Mear, which opens at the Peacock Theatre, 15 Feb 2011, following preview from 8 Feb - running to 3 April 2011.

The show had its world premiere for a short run at the Sadler's Wells 3 - 11 Sep 2010.

The four singers performing in Shoes include Canadian singer Tim Howar, and Damian Humbley, an Australian-born performer; Gemma Duffy, and Australian soprano Jennifer Peers.

The 12 dancers include So You Think You Can Dance's Chloe Campbell, plus Lorraine Stewart, Alexis Owen-Hobbs, James O'Connell, Matt Clark, Flik Swan, Holly James, Kaisey Johnston, Jay Wilson, Jack Wilcox, Mikey Frome , Shaun Paul Smith.

The swing performers covering all roles are singers Laura Tebbutt and Patrick Smyth, Dancers joining the cast as swings are Daniel Ioannou and Jaye Elster.

Shoes is directed and choreographed by Stephen Mear. Alongside Mear, the leading choreographers contributing to Shoes Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui , Aletta Collins , Kate Prince , Mark Smith.

Designed by Tom Pye, lighting by Chris Davey , costumes by Laura Hopkins.

A song and dance spectacular that takes audiences on a journey from the lows of the croc via the agony and ecstasy of the stiletto, to the highs of the platform boot.
