Casting announced for Nina Raine’s new play Stories at National Theatre

The playwright returns to the National Theatre after her hit play Consent

Casting has been announced for Nina Raine's new play Stories, which is set to open in the Dorfman at the National Theatre in October.

Directed by Raine, Stories is about Anna and tells of a single 39-year-old trying for a baby. As previously announced, Claudie Blakley will play Anna following her role in Raine's play Consent, which transferred to the Harold Pinter after a run in the Dorfman.

The cast of Stories will also include Stephen Boxer (King Lear, NT), Beau Gadsdon (Rogue One), Thusitha Jayasundera (Doctor Foster), Margot Leicester (King Charles III), Molly Simm (Collateral), Katie Simons, Sam Troughton (Beginning) and Brian Vernel (The Seagull, Lyric Hammersmith).

Stories will run in the Dorfman from 10th October to 28th November, with an official opening on 17th October.

With design by Jeremy Herbert, the production will have lighting by Bruno Poet, and sound and music by Alex Baranowski.

Stories is in the Dorfman at the National Theatre from 10th October.
