Full casting has been announced for the upcoming London premiere of Laura Wade's The Watsons, the playwright's interpretation of Jane Austen's unfinished novel.

The play is set to run at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 30th September following its world premiere in Chichester in November of last year, and is directed by Samuel West.

The Watsons is based on Austen's incomplete story, which follows nineteen-year-old Emma Watson who has been cut off from her wealthy aunt and forced to seek suitable men to marry.

The majority of the original cast will transfer with the production: Sam Alexander (Robert Watson), Sally Bankes (Nanny), Joe Bannister (Lord Osborne), Jane Booker (Lady Osborne), Elaine Claxton (Mrs Edwards), Tim Delap (Mr Howard), Sophie Duval (Mrs Robert), Louise Ford (Laura), John Wilson Goddard (Mr Watson), Grace Molony (Emma Watson), Elander Moore (Bertie), Paksie Vernon (Elizabeth Watson), Cat White (Miss Osborne) and Laurence Ubong Williams (Tom Musgrave).

Rhianna McGreevy will play Margaret Watson at the Menier, while Isaac Forward, Sonny Fowler and Teddy Probets will share the role of Charles Howard.

Wade's latest play to run in London, Home I'm Darling, won this year's Olivier Award for best comedy, having run in the West End following its premiere at Theatr Clwyd and the National Theatre.

The Watsons begins previews at the Menier Chocolate Factory on 20th September, with a press night on 30th September.

The Watsons tickets are available now.
