Casting updates for the Young Vic Season

Casting has been announced for a number of upcoming productions at the Young Vic Theatre.

Macbeth which runs on the Main Stage from 26 November to 16 January 2016 will star John Heffernan (Macbeth), Anna Maxwell Martin (Lady Macbeth), Mark Ebulue, Thomasin Gulgeç, Ira Siobhan Mandela, Ana Beatriz Meireles, Prasanna Puwanarajah and Clemmie Sveaas.

The production is directed by Carrie Cracknell and Lucy Guerin with design by Lizzie Clachan. It is a co-production between the Young Vic, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and HOME.

Measure For Measure, which runs on the Main Stage from 1 October to 14 November 2015 will star: Romola Garai (Isabella), Paul Ready (Angelo), Zubin Varla (Duke), Hammed Animashaun (Elbow/Provost), Tom Edden (Pompey), Ivanno Jeremiah (Claudio), John Mackay (Lucio), Sarah Malin (Escalus), Natalie Simpson (Juliet), Cath Whitefield (Mariana) and Matthew Wynn (Barnardine).

La Musica by Marguerite Duras runs at the Maria Studio from 24 September to 17 October. It will star Emily Barclay and Sam Troughton as the estranged couple in a production directed by Jeff James.

Creditors by August Strindberg, in a version by David Greig runs in the Clare Studio from 9 to 19 September. It will star Jolyon Coy (Tekla), Tom Rhys Harries (Adolph) and Gyuri Sarossy (Gustav).
