CHICAGO: SEVERAL CAST CHANGES ANNOUNCED!

Chicago, has announced several cast changes at the Adelphi Theatre. Anita Louise Combe will return to star as 'Roxie Hart' from 18th March to 27th April 02, prior to Denise Van Outen returning to the production to star as 'Roxie Hart' on 29th April to 1st June 02. Anna Jane Casey returns to star as 'Velma Kelly' on 18th March 02 until 1st June, and Sue Kelvin also returns to the show to feature as 'Mama Morton' from 18th March to 1June 02.

Neil McCaul will continue to star as 'Billy Flynn' and Clive Rowe as 'Amos Hart'. Claire Sweeney, Leigh Zimmerman and Alison Moyet currently playing the parts of 'Roxie Hart', 'Velma Kelly' and 'Mama Morton', will leave the show at the end of their contracts on 16th March 02.

"CHICAGO", which is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, has a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. Scenic design is by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting by Ken Billington and sound by Rick Clarke. Musical supervision is by Rob Fisher and musical direction by Gareth Valentine. It is choreographed by Ann Reinking in the style of Bob Fosse and directed by Walter Bobbie.

The West End production of "CHICAGO" is staged by the entire original Broadway creative team.

"CHICAGO" opened in London on 18 November 1997 to rave reviews and immediately became a sell-out hit. It won the 1998 Laurence Olivier Award for 'Outstanding Musical Production' as well as the 1998 Critics Circle Drama Award for 'Best Musical'.
