City of Angels cast at Donmar Warehouse

Full cast has been announced for City of Angels, which opens at the Donmar Warehouse on 16 December 2014, following previews from 5 December, running to 7 February 2015.

Joining previously announced Samantha Barks (Mallory/Avril), Rosalie Craig (Gabby/Bobbi), and Hadley Fraser (Stine) will be: Nick Cavaliere, Cameron Cuffe, Marc Elliott, Adam Fogerty, Katherine Kelly, Kadiff Kirwan, Sandra Marvin, Tam Mutu, Mark Penfold, Peter Polycarpou, Jennifer Saayeng, Jo Servi, Rebecca Trehearn and Tim Walton.

City of Angels, with music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by David Zippel and book by Larry Gelbart, is directed by Donmar Artistic Director Josie Rourke. The creative team features set design by Robert Jones, lighting by Howard Harrison, musical direction by Gareth Valentine, sound design by Terry Jardine and Nick Lidster for Autograph and choreography by Stephen Mear.

Synopsis: "Hollywood comes calling for a New York novelist. The offer is too good to refuse: adapt the private detective protagonist of his books into a big-screen hero. The siren songs of Los Angeles is a dangerous temptation and while his movie plays out in black and white, his new life is all-too colourful."
