Complicite presents Lionboy at the Tricycle Theatre

Complicite presents Lionboy, from the novels by Zizou Corder, adapted by Marcelo Dos Santos, at the Tricycle Theatre, north west London, from 17 December 2014 to 10 January 2015.

Directed by Clive Mendus and James Yeatman, designed by Jon Bausor, lighting by Tim Mascall (Original Lighting Designer) and Christopher Nairne (Revival Lighting), movement by Clive Mendus and Kasia Zaremba-Byrne, and sound by Tom Gibbons. Cast includes Martins Imhangbe (Charlie), Eric Mallett (Sergei) and Angel Lopez-Silva (Rafi).

Synopsis: "Charlie Ashanti lives in a future where phones are powered by the sun, cars are banned and companies are more powerful than countries. Charlie is a perfectly normal boy, except for one thing: he can speak to cats. So when his parents are kidnapped, he sets off on a rescue mission - with a little help from a floating circus and its pride of performing lions."

The production enjoyed a successful national tour in 2013, and this run at the Tricycle Theatre kicks off a new tour which takes in both UK venues and international venues, such as The New Victory Theater in New York.
