Dates confirmed for Louise Redknapp's run in 9 to 5 the Musical

Louise Redknapp will return from injury and join the cast of 9 to 5 at the Savoy Theatre later this month, it has been announced. 

Redknapp was scheduled to play the role of Violet Newstead in 9 to 5 from 28th January, however she was forced to temporarily withdraw from the production due to injury, fracturing her wrist in a fall during rehearsals. 

Caroline Sheen stepped into the role of  Violet Newstead, rehearsing with the cast of 9 to 5 and playing the role throughout previews and on the show's opening night on 17th February. 

Redknapp will make her West End debut in 9 to 5 as Violet Newstead on 25th March, and is scheduled to play the part until 29th June.

The cast of 9 to 5 is completed by Amber Davies as Judy Bernly, Natalie McQueen as Doralee Rhodes, Bonnie Langford as Roz Keith and Brian Conley as Franklin Hart Jr, Victoria Anderson, Alexander Bartles, Ashford Campbell, Simon Campbell, Rhiane -Drummond, Demmileigh Foster, Llandyll Gove, Lucinda Lawrence, Jenny Legg, Christopher Jordan Marshall, Jacob Maynard, Natasha Mould, Sean Needham, Jon Reynolds, James Royden-Lyley, Giles Surridge, Sasha Wareham and Emily Woodford.

Based on the 1980 film starring Dolly Parton, the musical follows three female workers at Consolidated Industries who unite in the workplace, after dreaming up ways to get rid their sexist, egotistical boss Franklin Hart Jr ruling the roost in the office.

Attending the West End premiere, Dolly Parton said that she hopes "audiences leave 9 to 5 feeling inspired" and that she was "so proud" of everyone involved in the production.

9 to 5 is at the Savoy Theatre until 31st August 2019.
