The countdown to Christmas is on. Elf the Musical will return to the West End this year. Elf the Musical begins previews at the Dominion Theatre on 14 November, with an opening night on 24 November and performances to 7 Jan. 2023. Elf the Musical tickets are on sale now.

Based on the 2003 Christmas film of the same name starring Will Ferrell, Elf the Musical follows Buddy, a boy who is raised in the North Pole and heads back to New York to find his father. Along the way, Buddy the Elf learns what it’s like to live in the real world and brings his unique outlook on life to friends and family.

Elf the Musical made its West End premiere in 2015, also at the Dominion Theatre. However, the upcoming production will feature a new creative team: a book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, and songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin.

Phillip Wm. McKinley directs Elf the Musical. The creative team includes set and costume design by Tim Goodchild, choreography by Liam Steel, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe and sound design by Gareth Owen.

Elf the Musical casting will be revealed at a later date. The 2015 London production starred Ben Forster as Buddy and Kimberley Walsh as Jovie. Read a 2015 review of Elf the Musical on London Theatre.
