‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ film trailer released
The film adaptation will be released in cinemas from 26 Feb. 2021.
UPDATE: On 15 December, it was announced that the film adaptation of Everybody's Talking About Jamie has been pushed back. Instead of a 26. Feb, 2021 release date, the feature is now currently unset, with no projection of a release date.
The first trailer for the upcoming film version of Everybody's Talking About Jamie has been released. The release date for the film has also been pushed back by a month, now available to watch from 26 Feb. 2021.
Max Harwood plays the role of Jamie New, making his professional film debut in the role. Richard E Grant stars as Hugo/Loco Chanelle, recently starring in the 2018 movie Can You Ever Forgive Me? as Jack Hock.
Shobna Gulati reprises the role of Ray, which she previously performed at the Apollo Theatre. Sharon Horgan plays Miss Hedge, with Sarah Lancashire as Margaret New.
Everybody's Talking About Jamie follows Jamie New who, once he turns 16, decides he wants to wear a dress to his high school prom. After a world premiere at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre, the production transferred to the West End, earning five Olivier Award nominations.
As reported on LondonTheatre.co.uk, the original musical will return to the Apollo Theatre, with performances from 12 November.
